I don't really understand your attitude regarding the translations, but I've never actually heard about you so I'm not in a position to comment. I don't think that Imps members and bad behaviours are cause and effect things, I just think the case is that a large majority of people who play Dofus are on Imps, and a disappointingly large percentage of people who play Dofus are asses. I don't think people hold it as coveted, it's as open to the Dofus community as anywhere and I think people just take it for granted that people will have an account there as they don't really have a reason not to. Of course, that's just one path most of the Imps users are taking, it's definately not an obligation to be like this : Imps in itself doesn't force any of this behaviour.Ĭould I maybe have some examples? I think I can understand the logic of "It's been posted on Imps so just look there". But I've seen this behaviour a lot from Imps regulars that I knew either in-game or on this forum. As I said, that's a generality and there are exceptions.
This is a good part of where my "non-Imps-members are not worthy" comments stem from and why I refused to have my translation jobs posted there. And while I haven't looked at the wiki in some time now, I can tell you that it used to lack a lot of info that was common knowledge with high-level players and I was told "look on Imps, it's there". Oh you're not a member? Sucks to be you, I won't tell you then.".
Many times I heard things such as "look at this thread on Imps. I have never been no Imps Village forums, so i am asking you guys for an honest opinion. That's the reason i actually made this topic, so i might as well move to Imps Village for some seriousness or maybe stick to both. Well, i know that other people are fed up with it and so am i. They grow eggs and stuff and they only post for the ranks. The bad thing about these forums though is that you get some people spamming on every topic. I guess it's the best place to learn about game changes, news about the game and stuff and i really like the off-topic.

Nice amtosphere, fun times, people are actually helping each other plus you get Mods and Devs helping. Still i expecct some nabs there from what i have heard. They told me that people like showing off there, since they can have their own picture, profiles and everything. I also heard some bad comments about Imps. I have been told that all pros go there, they post news about the top guilds and players, guides and tips for classes and generally some very good arguements based more on experience and less shit talk. What i have heard about Imps village from players: I don't think a ban on the information is appropriate, particularly as with rare exception the times we've seen new content in the past in a playable form, it stayed that way.I am wondering which one of the forums is better: The official Dofus forums or the Imps Village forums? Adventures Of A Squirrel z z z11:57, J(UTC) But we should make sure everyone knows it's beta information. Well, JOL apparently has been spoilering left, right, center and every other direction, so I don't see why we should keep anything under wraps. Haha, didn't realise it'd been released when I said that. Adventures Of A Squirrel z z z09:07, J(UTC) Although, a Beta warning tag at the top of the page may be more useful for beta testers. I've got one, and I was planning on redirecting anything I put up to Beta warning. Anyway that's all, I look forward to any responses. Personally I find the current one rather basic, though am unsure of where improvements could be made. I was also wondering whether people felt the Wikia's current Beta template, simply adding a Redirect to Beta warning would suffice or whether we should look for a more versatile template. I've got my Osa one and know a few people who could help me out exploring it, however it looks like a big Island so likely will need more people adding the information. With the Frigost Beta released I was wondering how many people on the Wikia with a Beta key would be looking to document information (assuming of course there is no NDA which I'm unaware). Do not add to unless it really needs a response. It is considered archived - the discussion is over. Note: This topic has been unedited for 2554 days.
